Over ten hours Joel Gailer and I took over the front lawns of the Fremantle Arts Centre with a series of performances based around the possibilities of printmaking. We called this event: PERFORMPRINT.
Ranting, rolling and pressing out copy after copy, the two of us threw about what we wanted say about masculinity between splashing ink, lighting fires and dropping in half-pipes.
By the end of the day we had called in Masonik and Beer Fridge to duke it out in an all out battle of the bands and then watch the HOG West Motorcycle Club roll in.
The place was packed to bear witness to Joel’s live branding and by the end, we were covered in ink, paper and the smell of burning flesh.
